Bow Cycle's Life in the Fat Lane 2014 1/3

The guys [and gal!] of Pneuma Cycles were out today at Canada Olympic Park to enjoy some beautiful weather and roll out the Fat Bike fleet.  Hats off to the folks down at Bow Cycle for putting on a great event!

While we've been riding the Pneuma fat bike prototypes for some time now, today was the first "public" event and out first races in these frames.

The custom bamboo and carbon fiber fat bikes turned a few heads and had lots of people coming up to check them out and ask questions.  It was great to meet a bunch of folks that share our passion for riding, regardless of the season. We got to check out some beautiful bikes, including a pair of shiny new Borealis' [Borealii?], a Robinikki, and even the elusive new Fat Boy.

Pneuma's own  James "I'm really more of a sprinter" Lewis raced in Group B and despite an energetic start, blew an early lead by dumping it hard on glare ice going into the trees. James found his rhythm again and turned out some really quick lines through the trees.
James, hard at work

yeah, that guy. Troy Henry.

After shocking everyone with his gazelle like start, Troy kept on it to win the Group "A" and earn a well deserved beverage.

Thanks again to all the folks that helped put this on and a big thank you to everyone who stopped by and said Hello.

All in all, a great day - great weather, good company, and riding bikes. What more do you need?

- Pneuma
